The Advisory Board Charter and Terms of Reference (TORs) for the Migrant Workers Voice Organization outline a framework designed to guide strategic decision-making within this non-profit entity. The primary purpose is to provide expert advice on industry trends, market conditions, business strategies, and potential risks while ensuring agility in response to stakeholders' needs.
The Advisory Board’s roles include offering networking opportunities with collaborators such as investors or partners; participating actively in international activities like conferences for mission advocacy; conducting research into best practices within the field of migrant workers’ rights. Moreover they must mentor organizational leadership staff members by sharing their professional experience and expertise, act as ambassadors communicating organization’s objectives through consistent engagement efforts.
Membership consists seven individuals appointed biennially based on academic qualifications related law finance management etc., who do not receive payment but may claim reimbursement for expenses incurred during duty performance under prior approval from board directors. The advisory group convenes at least twice annually either virtually or physically, with additional sessions as required decided by consensus among active members led interim chairperson elected via voting process involving treasurer vice-chair mobiliser and CEO/ ED who also serves secretary role without vote rights.
Advisory Board Members must adhere expectations including regular attendance preparation communication maintenance of confidentiality acceptance terms outlined document adoption board directors fulfillment responsibilities expectation above signatures dates administration date finalization.
